This chapter serves as a bedrock of electromagnetics. Starting from elementary concepts of linear systems in Sect. 2.1, and after introducing Maxwell equations in Sect. 2.2, we treat these equations as a set of governing equations relating inputs to outputs. Then, the main target becomes finding these outputs in relation to their inputs. Finally, we see in Sect. 2.3 that electrostatics and magnetostatics arise as approximations to the general theory.

摘要

This chapter serves as a bedrock of electromagnetics. Starting from elementary concepts of linear systems in Sect. 2.1, and after introducing Maxwell equations in Sect. 2.2, we treat these equations as a set of governing equations relating inputs to outputs. Then, the main target becomes finding these outputs in relation to their inputs. Finally, we see in Sect. 2.3 that electrostatics and magnetostatics arise as approximations to the general theory.
