摘要

This document centers on communication as a pivotal transnational practice traditionally engaged in by migrants, underscoring its significant role in strengthening social networks. It highlights how communication aids in preserving family ties, cultural habits, and values, thereby easing the integration of family members into the migrant’s everyday life. Over the years, communication strategies and mediums have undergone a notable evolution. Initially, migrants relied on letters and telephone calls. With the advent of the Internet, “cyber cafes” emerged as the new hubs for transnational interactions. Presently, platforms like WhatsApp and various technological applications have revolutionized and democratized transnational communication, making it more accessible and efficient.
