The Impact of Digital Innovation Network on Economic Resilience: An Empirical Analysis Based on the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration

With the development of digital technology, the mode of lifestyle and the economic pattern have undergone tremendous changes. The rapid updating and iteration of digital technology has increased the frequency of innovation and enhanced the links between groups. Relying on the R&D cooperation of digital technology, a digital innovation network is formed, which makes the member have higher economic resilience, more stable development model, and can cope with the challenges of frequent shocks. Based on the 2008–2019 invention patent data of cities in the Yangtze River Delta from the INCOPAT database, this paper constructs a digital innovation network using social network analysis. The empirical analysis shows that digital innovation network has a significant positive impact on economic resilience, and cities with closer cooperation have higher economic resilience. In order to achieve the goal of high-quality development, we should open up channels for innovation cooperation, realize innovation cooperation and sharing, promote the economic resilience. Big cities should play the radiation role of “innovation center”, small and medium-sized cities utilize the cost advantage, to build a closer and more reasonable digital innovation network.
