Another Generalization, This Time Concerning Entropy Inequality
摘要
The notion of dissipation is examined, two meanings are given, and a quantity called dissipation is introduced. The first and second laws are generalized for uniform bodies. Reduced entropy inequality is formulated as a general principle to be fulfilled by any body and its constitutive equations. As an example, all the thus-far-exposed-structure of thermodynamics is derived from this principle. Equilibrium states and processes are addressed. A more complex constitutive model is shown, which enables also non-equilibrium processes. Thermodynamic potentials and the meaning of entropy under the expounded generalization are dealt with.
