Port State Control and the MLC
摘要
This chapter addresses the role of port State control (PSC) in the enforcement of international standards applicable to seafarers’ employment. Along with the theoretical description of the PSC obligations under the MLC, insights on seafarer matters in the reports of PSC regimes are given; also, a consideration of the effectiveness of PSC in this regard is presented.
