Average Characteristic Polynomials

The recurrence relations of average characteristic polynomials whose roots describe the average behavior of the eigenvalues are determined for the three classes of the pseudo-Hermitian ensembles. The average variances around the average characteristic polynomials also are calculated. Numerical results that compare the statistical behavior of the average characteristic polynomials to the spectral behavior of sample matrices are presented.
