Nursing Informatics in Health Care. A Global View
摘要
Nursing informatics is very significant in nursing practice. As a result, nurses' experiences and perspectives on informatics integration in healthcare aid in improving nurses’ adoption and usage of it. The purpose of this study was to conduct a global literature scoping evaluation on the benefits of NI integration and adoption in healthcare. A review was conducted, along with an intensive literature search in databases and a library search centred on the keywords. The selection criteria centred on nursing informatics and the necessity of knowledge in the successful use of information technology in all facets of the nursing profession. The major features of nursing informatics implementation were evaluated in a critical examination of developing technologies such as healthcare promotion, advanced systems, improved medical mistakes, and saving time. Given the nature and evolution of the information age, all kinds of nurses must get the requisite IT (Information Technology) training. Due to the rapid advancement of technology, educational arrangements that set short-term and long-term specialized courses concentrating on three target groups: professional nurse managers, operational managers, and assistant managers are advised.
