This chapter explores the critical role of fostering inclusive environments for students with visual impairments (VI) in educational settings. It emphasises the importance of a holistic and collaborative approach. The chapter highlights the importance of collaboration among professionals (TVIs, classroom teachers, therapists) and families. It emphasises effective communication, building positive relationships and understanding each other’s roles and responsibilities. This collaborative approach ensures students with VI have access to appropriate learning opportunities and can thrive in their educational setting.
