The Future of Capitalism with a Steady-State Economy

Capitalism has a good chance of survival if it chooses the steady-state economy model, which is based on population stability and ecological balance. At present, the probability of this scenario happening is nil. Ignorance, lack of political will and big economic interests do not favor the making of decisions and policy measures which could reverse the global trends that apply today. There are, of course, many people and groups of people who see and understand the world’s problems, but they do not have the power to impose population reduction policies.
