摘要

Beer is a fermented alcoholic drink made from water, malted barley, hops, and yeast. The process involves malting, mashing, alcoholic fermentation, and maturation. Malted barley breaks down carbohydrates to create a sugar solution called “wort” with nutrients for yeast growth. Malt is the primary ingredient. The process involves malting of barley by steeping, germination and kilning. Then Milling of malt and mashing converts starches into sugars, creating wort. There are three types of mashing: infusion, decoction, and temperature-controlled infusion. The “economic threshold for use of last running” refers to energy prices and quality issues.
