摘要

This study provides a comprehensive assessment of the resources and environmental systems in the Tien Yen Bay area, detailing their current state and potential threats as a foundation for long-term sustainability management strategies. The research is a crucial step in maintaining the fragile and valuable resources and environment of Tien Yen Bay in Vietnam. The study introduces analytical tools for an all-encompassing evaluation of the area’s resources, their current state, and potential risks, enabling the creation of efficient management strategies. These tools involve quantifying indicators, scoring, and standardizing weights based on various factors influencing the resources and environment. They also include categorizing vulnerability levels for assessing and strategically utilizing these resources. In the process of evaluating the vulnerability of resources and the environment in Tien Yen Bay, 28 vulnerability indicators were proposed. The study employed the scale and weighting system of SOPAC to establish the vulnerability extent. The results indicated that Tien Yen Bay has a moderate level of vulnerability, implying an opportunity to improve management and conservation efforts for its marine resources and environment.
