A High-Speed Traffic Infrastructure Conjunction with Renewable Energy Along the Shoreline of Vietnam

摘要

East and Southeast Asia’s naturally advantageous location offers tremendous potential for developing various ocean energy technologies along its heavily populated coastlines. Vietnam has the most geographical advantage in Southeast Asia, opening up opportunities to develop renewable energy, especially forms of energy that can be built on and off the coast. In particular, Vietnam has focused more on building wind energy projects both onshore and offshore to maximize the exploitation of this renewable resource. Besides the benefits, Vietnam faces challenges in producing wind energy systems, including natural disasters, storms, floods, and geological characteristics. This article is a novel design that combines high-speed traffic and renewable energy to optimize both green transformation goals and transportation infrastructure development in Vietnam. Related studies on the structure of beams and foundations of offshore wind turbine systems, along with transportation and construction methods worldwide, have been mentioned. This new design option is also inherited and developed to suit the geology off the coast of Vietnamese waters (H.N.I.o. Oceanography, Seabed depth map of Vietnam and nearby areas, 2019). Data tables on the design, as well as installation options for this combined system, have also been mentioned.
