Emulate3D: Design and Application for Education in the Engineering Maintenance
摘要
During the Industrial Revolution, many technologies, especially virtual or computer-based design, were developed significantly. To adapt to the rapid change of practical manufacturing, a novel approach for the system design is based on the emulator software called Emulate3D by Rockwell Automation. Firstly, the core architecture and some key features of Emulate3D are introduced for developers to get acquainted with. Later, several components and tools are analyzed to insist on the superior functions. This study investigates two test scenarios: auto-feeder CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and robotic system. From the investigation results, it is obvious that the proposed approach is effective and powerful in supporting engineers in many industries, such as mechanics, factory automation, and manufacturing systems.
