Conclusions and Recommendations for the Integration of Core Sustainable Development Goals for Rural Area

This chapter presents the main conclusions and recommendations from all the chapters in the book. Part I introduces the book through an overview of water, energy food, climate change, and ecosystem interactions within the framework of sustainable development goals, and provides a brief introduction of all the chapters. Part II focuses on current state and security of the WEF Nexus in the MENA Region, discussing the role of the nexus in development and providing case studies in the Region. Part III addresses the integration within the Nexus for rural development in different countries. Part IV discusses solutions and technologies for the WEF Nexus and sustainable development through case studies. Part V focuses on sediment management, global warming and climate change, as a strategy for water scarce countries in the Region. Finally, in this chapter, a set of recommendations are presented to promote the integration of core sustainable development goals for sustainable development in rural areas in the MENA Region.
