Social Network Structure and Lurker Origins
摘要
Those who only look at information on the Web or SNS are called Lurkers. Most people are lurkers, so even if they communicate local issues on the Web, they end up only looking at the information. Nudge and incentive are considered effective in changing behavior, but it was not clear whether they are also useful when people who know each other offline communicate with each other online. This paper conducted a social experiment using an originally developed application, and the results showed that even if people know each other offline, they prefer to use functions that can only be used anonymously in online communities, even taking regional and age differences into consideration, and that the use of communication functions in online communities is promoted by both nudge and incentive. The results of the social experiment showed that even if people know each other offline, they prefer to use functions that can only be used anonymously in online communities, taking into account regional differences and age differences.
