Integrating the Two: A Technical Aspect

摘要

Τhe quintessence of Hybrid Warfare is that conventional and irregular dimensions may be combined regarding their applications and resources. The ages-old trick to differentially use a given set of tools and competencies so as to maximize the effects applies well to biowarfare principles, and is expected to bring forth massively the concept of Improvised Contaminating Devices, an analogue of the Improvised Explosive Devices/IED. Very different technologies and setups are possible, according to the objective and the expected conditions, including available assets. Patches for diadermal delivery, AI-informed target selection and controllable release amenities change the landscape of both offensive and defensive missions, while brainhacking for humans and animals adds a highly destabilizing dimension. Additionally, the inclusion of highly competent, university-degree personnel in special units is now mainstream and allows biowarfare operations in very small units for offensive and defensive purposes, with the help of novel, miniaturized equipment. Such needs for physical presence of highly trained scientific personnel in the field may be alleviated conditionally by high-capacity, reliable networking of field assets and distant command hubs.
