The Potential of Interactive Design in Children’s Picture Books and Its Impact on User Experience

摘要

With the development of digital technology, children’s picture books are transforming traditional printing to interactive digital media, which provides new possibilities for improving children’s reading experience and learning effect. This paper focuses on the application of interactive design in children’s picture books, especially its potential to enhance children’s reading experience and promote cognitive development. The study found that interaction design elements can significantly improve children’s reading interest and participation and help promote their language skills and cognitive development. In addition, it also discusses how the integration of AI and IoT technologies will promote the innovation of picture books, analyzes how these technologies make picture books more personalized and interactive, and their potential to improve children’s education and entertainment experience. Considering many aspects of user experience, this paper puts forward suggestions to improve the design of children’s interactive picture books, such as enhancing the interactivity of storytelling, improving the quality of visual and auditory elements, and creating a more immersive reading environment. Finally, it emphasizes the necessity of further research on future children’s picture book design and technology integration and puts forward how to better combine educational theory and psychological principles, as well as how to use emerging technologies to create more rich and participatory children’s reading experience, to provide a reference for picture book authors, illustrators, educators and technology developers.
