Exploration of “ICH + Digital Game” Mode Under the Threshold of Culture and Tourism Integration

As the crystallization of human wisdom, intangible cultural heritage has an irreplaceable role in maintaining national cultural diversity and promoting cultural self-awareness and self-confidence. Under the current background that countries worldwide emphasize strengthening the protection of intangible cultural heritage and cultural tourism, digital games have become an emerging mode of artistic communication with broad application prospects. Based on the existing literature, the authors define “ICH + digital game” as Integrating intangible cultural heritage themes and elements into digital games and performing them, allowing users to experience intangible cultural heritage while playing, and promoting the development model of regeneration and inheritance of culture. First, based on the unique cultural form of intangible cultural heritage, combined with the concept of “ICH +” and “digitalization of intangible cultural heritage,” the idea of “ICH + digital game” is sorted out more comprehensively from multiple dimensions. Secondly, through case analysis of severe and entertainment games, four levels of design objectives in intangible cultural heritage games are defined. Summarise the characteristics and laws of cultural dissemination in digital games and propose corresponding design suggestions. Finally, under the perspective of cultural and tourism integration, it clarified its cultural significance, aesthetic function, and economic value. This paper utilizes human-computer interaction, game design, and other methods to explore the combination mode of combining digital games with intangible cultural heritage. The research aims to provide new ideas and directions for the digital inheritance of cultural heritage and jointly promote the protection and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage.
