Advancing Mental Health Care: Global Perspectives on Digital and Telepsychiatry Solutions
摘要
Telemedicine and Internet-based clinical systems are already widely accessible and beginning to affect the dynamics between doctors and patients. Studies have demonstrated that online mental health interventions are just as beneficial as conventional in-person counseling for illnesses like anxiety and depression. We look into how new technologies and clinical procedures (e.g., like the employment of virtual patient advocates) are being incorporated into patient care and how it may be affecting the doctor–patient relationship. In order to better serve underprivileged people, especially those from varied cultural backgrounds, it is likely that clinical practices will change over time. New hybrid care models with synchronous and asynchronous technologies will emerge in creative ways. Research on user-centered design and implementation is important.
