OEE Review and Compatible Weighting Approach for OEE
摘要
Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a composite metric comprising availability, performance, and quality. However, the significance of these elements may differ for specific manufacturing operations. This paper reviews OEE elements and existing weighting techniques, finding current methods fail to maintain compatibility with original OEE calculations. A new 3-step weighting methodology is proposed to assign differential weights while maintaining comparability to unweighted OEE. An implementation example demonstrates this weighted OEE approach, providing valuable emphasis on elements based on operational significance. With careful application, weighted OEE enhances this key manufacturing metric.
