Weak Form of Peridynamic Equilibrium and Field Equations

This chapter presents the weak form of peridynamic (PD) equilibrium and field equations based on the variational approach for direct imposition of essential and natural boundary conditions. The domain, Ω, is divided into three regions: inner \( \mathcal{D} \) , outer ℛ, and boundary layer region ℬ. The inner region is governed by the PD bond-wise interactions, and the outer region and the boundary layer region are governed by the PDDO point-wise interactions.
