Applications of Peridynamics for Static Structural Analysis

This chapter presents applications of single- and dual-horizon peridynamics in strong and weak forms through uniform and nonuniform discretization by considering an elastic plate with or without a crack under static loading. The specific steps in preprocessing, solution and postprocessing phases of the analysis are displayed through the Graphical User Interface (GUI) in a step-by-step fashion for each application. The PD operations of the preprocessing, solution, and postprocessing for each application are provided in the form of Ansys input files. The PD operations are executed through the Macro Files. The input files containing the encrypted macros files to generate the simulations are provided as supplementary material.
