Neonatal Intensive Care
摘要
Globally, an estimated five million infants are born prematurely. Complications related to low birth weight and prematurity are the leading cause of death in children under the age of 5 years. Due to high risk of morbidity and mortality, premature infants require specialized care in order to achieve best possible outcomes. The chapter will review common problems encountered in the neonatal intensive care unit and their management.
