Intraventricular Endoscopic Anatomy
摘要
Endoscopic inspection of the lateral and third ventricles using rod-lens endoscopes with different angles of view attached to a high definition camera allows a precise visualization of the intraventricular anatomy. Since the anatomy may be severely distorted due to several diseases, a profound anatomical knowledge is essential to stay oriented during surgery within the ventricles. In this chapter, we present the most important anatomical landmarks needed for safe navigation through the lateral and third ventricles which were captured while performing endoscopic third ventriculostomies.
