The Research Method

This chapter explains the research method, especially regarding the theoretical and conceptual framework and the empirical study instruments, illustrating the overall meaning of the analysis conducted. The research conducted is both comparative and extensive, and fulfils descriptive, explanatory, and implementation functions. This chapter provides a description of the techniques used in the study, reconstructing the research process, highlighting the most critical aspects, related to the hidden dimension of the phenomenon investigated and the difficulty of finding cases of court decisions related to crimes.
