摘要

The concluding chapter synthesises the study of Adult Learning Systems (ALSs) in Central Europe (CE) from 1989 to 2019, articulating the intricate dynamics between the development of these systems, variances in Adult Education and Training (AET) participation, and obstacles to organized learning. The analysis presents ALSs as dynamic, interrelated constructs that both influence and are shaped by broader societal structures. Employing the Global Adult Learning Space (GALS) framework, the chapter elucidates the complex process of ALS formation, unveiling distinct developmental paths across CE nations. It articulates strategic policy recommendations to augment the efficacy of ALSs, including enhancing the execution of lifelong learning policies, stabilizing AET policy frameworks, augmenting AET resources, and tackling social disparities. Furthermore, the chapter advocates for future research avenues, such as extending the investigation beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, analysing ALSs in additional post-socialist contexts, broadening the examination to encompass all age demographics, and further refining the GALS framework. This holistic perspective emphasizes the importance of precise, flexible policies that cater to varied learning requirements and mitigate inequalities, thereby fostering more inclusive and responsive ALSs in the CE region.
