Private Debt

Therefore, this chapter analyses private debt funds, credit funds, and other private debt vehicles. The investment strategies typical of private debt are characterized by a finite time horizon, as they generally involve an established date by which the credit should be repaid by the financed company. This asset class requires, therefore, the use of typical performance measures. The peculiar risks of private debt are object of further examination.
