摘要

Since ICG and micro-Doppler are not available in limited environments, other methods are needed to assure the successful aneurysm clip occlusion and avoid stenosis of adjacent arteries. As described in Chap. 7 , we trust our tactile and vision senses. The aneurysms have to be cut open, and the clip blades have to be seen and should be placed in such a way that they do not touch any arteries. With time and experience working under such circumstances, the confidence of a succesfull clipping is growing. Here we stress out the training of the surgeon’s own senses in order to confidently occlude the aneurysm completely without risking brain infarctions.
