摘要

In Chap. 4 , we discuss about the need of training cerebrovascular surgeons in low-income environments. The need of such experts in the ever-expanding field of cerebrovascular surgery is growing in the western world, as well as in any other part of the world. There is a big gap in establishing a fellowship program in a developing country, which would be similar to one in Europe or the United States and reality. DSA as well as endovascular therapeutic options are not present, and a neurointensive care unit is also absent. A fellowship, which uses the already available local equipment, has to be an improvised one. We discuss here the reality which has to be faced when initiating a fellowship in a limited resources environment in order to succeed.
