摘要

After the successful completion of the inaugural “reverse” or “on-site” fellowship in Cameroon, the two newly trained vascular neurosurgeons demonstrated their proficiency by independently performing microsurgical clipping procedures for ruptured ICA and pcomA aneurysms, without direct supervision. Although the expert was present during the surgeries, he did not intervene or actively participate. Despite this, the duration of microscope use was only 30 min, demonstrating the surgeons’ efficiency. Notably, the aneurysms were completely occluded, and the procedures transpired without any intraoperative complications. Importantly, there were no disturbances in the perfusion of neighboring vessels, and postsurgery, the patients promptly regained consciousness without any neurological deficits.
