What can we infer from the earlier discussions? The prior discussions, which involved several academics from different countries of Middle East, have allowed for a fresh examination of land tenure security in the region from many perspectives. The connection between political unrest and the effectiveness of securing land in urban settings was underlined, as was the relationship between housing affordability, inclusive urban planning, participatory approaches, land tenure security and the wider institutional and socio-economic framework.
