Initiation to Construction Through Student Self-Recording and the Use of Mobile Applications to Ensure Active Learning
摘要
Most of the students accessing architecture studies have never had the opportunity to visit the construction site before. This situation creates a pedagogical challenge for construction professors when it comes to transmitting effective learning about materials and technological solutions in buildings, as well as motivating students with unknown concepts. Social networks are used by students on a daily basis in an environment unrelated to university education. This proposal presents the design, development and experimentation carried out during an academic year in first-year students, based on a model that incorporates the playful and dynamic potential of mobile applications, integrating explanations of concepts and construction systems through videos, recorded and explained by the students themselves. This innovation is expected to generate active participation and improve overall academic performance, and the results will verify the progression and acquisition of knowledge under the integration of the proposed multimedia model.
