摘要

Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology is transforming the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction sector. Directive 2014/24/EU encourages BIM-based practices in this sector across Europe. BIM-based tools are crucial for the professional future of architecture and building engineering students, but can also be used to support university teaching and learning. In this sense, the 3D BIM model is a digital database that can be used to analyse the construction process and perform simulations based on it. This study explores the potential of the 4D BIM dimension for teaching the analysis and control of construction project planning. Virtual simulations enable students to identify and understand construction processes and interactions with the 4D model.
