Fistula in ano poses a common yet challenging clinical scenario in colorectal surgery, necessitating optimal management strategies for improved outcomes. This chapter offers a concise overview of contemporary approaches to fistula in ano management, focusing on advancements in surgical techniques and adjunctive therapies. Highlighting the significance of individualized treatment plans, it discusses options such as seton placement, fistulotomy, fistulectomy, and emerging techniques like the LIFT procedure and biologic agents.
