Hydrological Modeling of Urbanized Basins

摘要

Hydrological modeling is a tool for representing and understanding the hydrological processes that occur in watersheds. Urbanization has a significant impact on hydrological processes, such as precipitation, evapotranspiration, infiltration, runoff, and groundwater recharge. Therefore, accurate hydrological modeling is essential for sustainable and strategic water resources management in urban areas. Its application is diversified and based on physical equations and data-driven, creating support for the management of water resources and the identification of vulnerabilities. Urban hydrology is an integrating theme and thus urban hydrological modeling is shown as a broad tool to assist in the understanding and adaptation of cities in the face of new characteristics of urban organization and climate. Benefits of hydrological modeling include improved understanding of hydrological processes, improved water resources management, cost-effective planning, resilience to climate change, and better land use planning. Here we introduce the possibilities of using the models in urban environments in a literature review on the hydrological modeling of urbanized basins.
