摘要

In this section of the book, we have taken time to encourage you to explore your thinking and actions. This is because so much of your learning in the coming months and years will depend on how you think about your learning and on what you do to achieve it. We have looked at self-efficacy, motivation, wellbeing and mindset to show the importance of how we think and its effect on how we learn. We have also explored practical tools like goalsetting and self-inquiry as ways to support your learning as a student and ECEC practitioner. To finish this section, we want to conclude with two key takeaway points that will contribute to your lifelong learning as an ECEC practitioner. The first takeaway point is about taking responsibility for your learning and this is about actively thinking about what you do to support your development on an ongoing basis. The second takeaway is about perspective and how you can make changes to your learning experiences by taking a more proactive approach to looking for the learning in any situation.
