Building the Scientific Foundations of an Educational Methodology for Foreign Languages
摘要
Although educational methodologyeducational methodology in all its forms is classed as a science, it is far from being a theoretical science. Unlike history, astronomy, or the study of the strength of materials, educational methodology does not question how or why a certain phenomenon occurs in a particular way. Nor does it seek to ascertain and explore which principles govern the occurrence of various phenomena in the way that mechanical engineering, chemistry, and psychology would do. The overarching aim of educational methodology is rather to identify what must be done to obtain the desired result.
