Transorbital Neuroendoscopic Correction of Skull Base Trauma, CSF Leaks, and Abscesses

This chapter will discuss transorbital neuroendoscopic repair of anterior and middle cranial fossa trauma, as well as the treatment of causally related cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks and infectious processes. As will be demonstrated, these conditions are interrelated anatomically and conceptually. Our approach to orbital fractures not involving the ACF has been described in detail in other sources [1, 2] and will not be discussed herein; likewise, temporal bone trauma is beyond the scope of this book.
