Personal Storytelling: The Solo Mother and Lived Experience
摘要
Through reflecting on personal accounts by Solo Mothers by Choice (SMBC), I explore how and why women are choosing (in the words of Genevieve Roberts) to ‘go solo’. In this chapter, I also discuss the importance of storytelling in the donor conception community and how stories from lived experience can provide authentic and positive representation of the SMBC phenomenon which is either largely overlooked or demonised in contemporary culture.
