Of all the squiggles necessary to your human existence without which their could be no progression, attraction ~ repulsion surely ranks supreme. Attraction and repulsion are iconic expressions of physical polarity, as in bar magnets, from which comes the common experience that opposites attract and like poles repel. But attraction ~ repulsion in the dissipative, complex, synergetic systems of life that involve neurons, brains, behavior, minds, beliefs and opinions isn't as fixed as polarized bar magnets. It's more dynamic, flexible and contextual.
