Auricular Acupuncture
摘要
Auricular acupuncture is a microneedle system for diagnostics and treatments that normalizes the body’s dysfunction by stimulating certain points of the outer ear. Its system is similar to Eight Gates of Hand Acupuncture (Wu’s Acupuncture Train), Scalp Acupuncture (Jiao style), etc. This chapter will introduce the developing history of auricular acupuncture and the physiology and pathology of the outer ears, explain the relationship between internal Zang & Fu organs, meridians and ears, and describe how to name the auricular points and their distribution on the outer ears. Furthermore, it presents the distinctive operating methods and cautions in detail and finally recommends modern research on auricular acupuncture.
