摘要

Being a small firm does not mean that small cannot compete in the international arena. Yet, small firms can easily move on, adapt, change, and absorb good international or global practices quickly which leads them to sustainable competitive advantage. The case study represents a small firm (ESOF LTD) that plays fairly well in the international market without previously being present in the domestic market. This is one of the unique cases where the first objective of the small business was to serve the international market. The case overlooks the business background of the home environment as well as the international one. Additionally, this story describes the factors of the success of ESOF in the European market while maintaining a sustainable competitive advantage. Finally, while discussing overall business settings, obstacles, challenges, and opportunities, the case study opens new horizons to be discovered and discussed.
