Restrictive Cardiomyopathy is the rarest form of Cardiomyopathies but is more morbid than the other two. After reading this chapter, the reader will know the definition of Restrictive Cardiomyopathy, The types of Restrictive Cardiomyopathy, the causative factors, the hemodynamic changes that accompany the condition, the Echocardiographic findings (2D, M Mode, Doppler-Spectral/Color), the measurements in this condition, the associated findings in this condition, symptoms and signs the patients have and the treatment options that are available. The distinction between Cardiac Amyloidosis and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy are elaborated. The distinction between Restrictive Cardiomyopathy and Constrictive Pericarditis is already discussed in the chapter on Pericarditis.
