Shoulder: Surgical Technique, Complications, and Results
摘要
Periprosthetic infection (PPI) in total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) differs significantly from knee and hip arthroplasty. Even if the number of implantations is significantly lower in absolute terms, it will increase significantly with an estimated 90,000 TSA implantations per year in Germany by 2040. Consecutively, the number of revision arthroplasty procedures will also increase by a factor of 2.5–8.4 [1].
