Conjunctival Melanoma

Conjunctival melanoma is a rare but potentially life-threatening cancer affecting the conjunctival surfaces such as the bulbar, forniceal, and palpebral conjunctiva, as well as the plica semilunaris and caruncle. Many of its characteristics resemble that of cutaneous melanoma and are distinct from uveal melanoma. However, its location and tendency to spread necessitates special classifications and considerations. In this chapter, we explore those features and the methodology behind management of conjunctival melanoma.
