The Impact of Non-interest Income on Vietnamese Bank Performance
摘要
This research investigates the impact of net non-interest income on the performance of commercial banks in Vietnam by the Bayes-Gibbs sampling technique. The study utilizes data from 26 commercial banks between 2011 and 2021, collected from their annual reports and financial statements. To ensure the accuracy of the models, the researchers employ various methods and test for variable variance and autocorrelation. Ultimately, Bayes MCMC chains, Gibbs sampling is used to estimate the model. The results suggest that net non-interest income has a positive impact on bank profitability. The study provides valuable insights into the ways in which income generated from non-interest banking products and services influences the performance of commercial banks, and offers suggestions for improving banking performance and minimizing risks through non-interest banking products and services.
