Factors Affecting the Credit Growth of Vietnamese Commercial Banks in the Post-global Economic Crisis
摘要
This study analyzes the factors affecting the credit growth of Vietnamese commercial banks. The analysis is based on data from the financial statements of 25 joint-stock commercial banks in Vietnam for the period from 2012 to 2021, utilizing Bayesian regression via Gibbs sampling algorithm. The research results reveal that bank liquidity, deposit growth, equity to asset ratio, return on equity, GDP growth, and money supply are factors that positively impact credit growth. Conversely, factors such as the non performing loans, bank size, loan to deposit ratio, and inflation are identified as having a negative impact on credit growth.
