Extending Jaynes: How Disagreements in Science and Economics Arise

Jaynes work on probability theory, which he rightly called the logic of science, needs to be better known. We attempt this in showing how logical probability can be used to analyze how opinions can grow farther apart, even when people agree on new evidence. This has important consequences in medicine, economics, and really any area in which people are asked to “follow the science.”
