How Does Government Support Affect Firm Performance? Evidence from WBES Dataset
摘要
This study aims to evaluate the impact of five forms of government support programs on firm performance. This study employs Bayesian analysis on the World Bank Enterprise Surveys (WBES) dataset, the findings indicate strong evidence of the negative effects of cash transfers for businesses, deferral of credit payments, accessibility to new credit, and wage subsidies on firm performance, while fiscal exemptions have positive effects on firm performance.
