We have discussed the principal modesMode of heat transfer, i.e., conductionConduction, forced convectionConvection, forced, natural convectionConvection, natural and radiationRadiation. The problems that have analytic solutions are very limited. For example, similaritySimilarity solutions are possible only when the dependent variables proportional to certain powers of the independent variables. MixedMixed problems involve the interactionInteraction of two or more meansMean of heat transfer, thus, the possible analytic solutions are even more restricted.
